Medical treatment care
Medical care nursing covers the measures a doctor prescribes. They are carried out in your own home, so you do not have to travel to a practice or a hospital for them.
Who is it for?
- People who need continued care at home after a hospital stay.
- People with a wound that needs regular treatment.
- People who cannot safely manage medication or injections themselves.
- Relatives who cannot or should not carry out a prescribed measure alone.
What can Rozali’s take on?
- Wound care and changing dressings
- Administering and preparing medication
- Injections as prescribed by a doctor
- Applying compression bandages
Which measures apply in an individual case is set out in the doctor’s prescription. We do not take on anything that is not stated there.
What is needed for this?
- A prescription for home nursing care (Verordnung häuslicher Krankenpflege) from your doctor.
- Your health insurance card, or the details of your health insurance fund.
- The name of the practice that issued the prescription.
If you are unsure what you need: call us. We will tell you which documents are required and explain the route to your insurance fund.
How an enquiry works
- You get in touch by phone or through the contact form and briefly describe the situation.
- We check with you whether the care fits our service area and the prescription.
- The prescription goes to your health insurance fund for approval.
- We arrange an appointment and discuss the arrangements in your home.
Who pays for it?
Medical care nursing is a health insurance benefit under SGB V. Services under SGB V are possible.
Whether and to what extent your insurance fund approves the prescribed service is decided case by case. We explain the process and support you with the application.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Medical care nursing is prescribed by a doctor. Without a prescription for home nursing care we cannot carry out the measures. Your GP practice or the hospital issues it.
Who covers the costs?
As a rule the health insurance fund under SGB V. The fund decides on the prescribed service case by case. We discuss any possible personal contribution with you before care begins.
How quickly can care begin?
How quickly care can begin in an individual case depends on the medical prescription, the health insurance decision and our capacity. We tell you clearly what is possible.
Do you also provide care outside Wuppertal?
Our service area is Wuppertal and the surrounding region within roughly 50 kilometres – this includes, among others, Essen, Oberhausen, Velbert, Hilden, Haan, Düsseldorf and the Bergisches Dreieck. Whether a specific address can be served depends on the service and on capacity. Ask us about your location.
What happens after my enquiry?
We get back to you and clarify the open points. An enquiry does not yet create an agreement – you take on no obligation.
